What is the Business Growth Developer™?

This is a highly focused management questionnaire/audit that identifies 20 key business activities that could hold a business back from growth and development . The audit provides a benchmark against best practice and can be used by consultants or business coaches to evaluate business performance.

Why use it?

Many small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are unaware of their strengths and weaknesses or what might be holding them back. For a consultant or coach to discover where their client needs help may take many hours of interviewing especially if more than one of the client’s directors is involved. The Business Growth Developer™ is an on-line audit usually filled in by more than one of the client’s directors. Questions in the audit are randomised and the respondents remain anonymous - to reduce bias. A comprehensive report is created that identifies where the organisation is or is not following best practice, whether it is strategy, finance, selling or marketing etc. Once the needs of the business have been identified the consultant or coach can focus on where support is needed.

How is it used?

The on-line audit, filled in anonymously by the client’s directors, takes about 20 to 30 minutes. A comprehensive report is then sent to the consultant or coach who can then meet the client and focus on where help is needed. The audit is time and cost effective and means that the client can see quick benefits.

When is it used?

The Business Growth Developer™ can be used by consultants, by government funded programmes, by Business Hubs and by Local Enterprise partnerships to help the growth and development of SMEs
