What is the Senior Hire Culture Fit (SME) Pathway Audit™?

A focused management questionnaire and analysis which provides you with key information about your organisation’s working and cultural style directly relevant to new senior hires. The audit reviews key relationships with the senior team, internal colleagues, direct reports and external stakeholders.  It is aimed at early stage/ small companies with limited administrative infrastructure, probably in the 35 to 75 employee range. This can add significant value by informing candidate search, selection, induction and acclimatisation into the company.

Why use it?                                                                    

Research suggests that a lack of ‘culture fit’ is often seen as a major reason for new senior hires failing or leaving a job early in their tenure. In small companies, the impact of this can be even more significant. This audit looks at key factors that drive the job-related culture fit such as communication, involvement in decision-making and capability of direct reports. Information from the audit can then be used to improve new hire recruitment, retention and productivity.

How do I use it?

Selected colleagues complete a simple on-line survey taking no longer than thirty minutes. The results are analysed and highlight key organisational and cultural factors relevant to the new hire’s role, such as communication, teamwork with colleagues, objectives, decision making and external stakeholder influence.

When is it used?

The audit is ideally used at the early stages of recruitment to inform the hiring manager in both search and selection processes. However, it may also be used later to inform the process of new hire acclimatisation into the new role.
